  If I Knew Now

If we knew then what we know now, how much would we have changed?
How much of our life would we sit back and look at and try to re-arrange?
If only we could take things back, like harsh words to family and friends.
Like decisions we've made wrong or right, would we make them all again?

If we knew then what we know now, how different would our lives be?
Would we have spent just a little more time with our friends and family?
Would we have done more to improve their lives,or sit back and improve our own?
And do we now cry in our loneliness reaping just what we have sewn?

If we knew then what we know now, would it make any difference at all?
Would we have reached just a little bit higher, to hear our Father's call?
Or would we continue to ignore Him, and pretend we just didn't hear?
Do you ever wonder where your life is now?  Isn't this perfectly clear?

If we knew then what we know now, we would have been a lot more careful?
But how can we undo all the wrongs we have done to hurt so many wonderful people?
How do we take back a word that was unkind or a thought that could kill and destroy?
How many times can we say we're sorry to every little girl or boy?

Because I know now what I didn't know then, there's something more I'd like to say.
I've learned that we can't take back those things; they are there forever to stay.
All the wrongs that we did to others, and the wrongs they have done to you:
They are permanently marked inside our brains. We did it to each other, it's true.

And because I know now what I didn't know then, here's another thought I have in mind.
Because of all the wrong things we have done, we don't have to stay so blind.
We don't have to hide in our fear anymore. I heard something wonderful has been done.
I heard that our Father in Heaven loved us so much that He sent us Jesus His Son.

If I knew then what I know now, I'm sure my life would be much different.
But I didn't know then what I know now, I should have made His Grace more sufficient.
I'm sorry Dear Lord for wasting time; time I can never get back.
Search me oh Lord, and cleanse my heart. Bring me the faith that I lack.

What I know now I should have known then, but I had no one to teach me.
My parents weren't saved, we never prayed, so How could His Spirit reach me?
I just have to believe I'm here for a purpose, I was actually a part of His plan.
Now I need to take back control of my life, and do for Him all that I can.

DEAR REVSUZ

HERE IS ONE OF MY POEMS I TOLD YOU ABOUT.  I DID THIS ONE AS A KID'S SONG TO THE TUNE OF PUFF THE MAGIC DRAGON.  I WROTE THIS ONE A COUPLE WEEKS AGO WHEN A FRIEND IN A CHURCH GROUP SAID THAT HE WAS LUCKY HE DIDNT HAVE CANCER.   I SAID, "NO, WE WERE ALL PRAYING FOR YOU THAT YOUR TEST WOULD COME BACK NEGATIVE, AND IT DID."

I TOLD ANOTHER FRIEND, "HE WASNT LUCKY, HE WAS BLESSED."

SHE SAID, "HE WAS BOTH."

I ASKED HER IF SHE WENT TO A BIG MIGHTY SHAMROCK OR DID SHE GO TO JESUS FOR HEALINGS?  THUS THE SONG WAS BORN.

GOD BLESS YOU

GO TO JESUS
by

SALLIE FARAFONTOFF

DONT GO TO THE MIGHTY SHAMROCK TO SEE WHAT HE CAN DO,
INSTEAD JUST GO TO JESUS AND HE WILL SEE YOU THROUGH.
FOR LUCK JUST IS NOT MEASURED BY MERCY OR GRACE,
BUT BY THE LOVE OF JESUS. WHEN WE SEEK HIS FACE.

SO WHEN YOUR PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED DONT THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS,
THANK THE ONE WHO CREATED THEM. AND JUPITER AND MARS.
DONT BE CONFUSED NOW ABOUT WHERE OUR BLESSINGS COME,
THEY ONLY COME FROM JESUS CHRIST, HE'S THE ONLY ONE.

DON'T PUFF ON MY JESUS JUST GIVE HIM WHAT IS DUE,
THE MORE WE SHOUT HIS PRAISES. THE MORE BLESSINGS COME TO YOU.
HE KNOWS JUST WHAT WE'RE NEEDING, HE KNOWS WHAT TO SUPPLY,
JUST KEEP HIM AT HIS PROMISE, AND KEEP HIM ON YOUR SIDE.
